Release Date: Q1-2026
Metal Gear REX, the nuclear-armed bipedal tank developed in secret by DARPA and Arms Tech at a nuclear weapons disposal site on Shadow Moses Island from the āMetal Gearā game series, is now part of Bandaiās āChogokinā lineup!
This cutting-edge figure is made with die-cast alloy in various parts to achieve the texture and solid feel of a weapon; the Chogokin seriesā original armor-deployment gimmick exposes the internal frame and die-cast parts. The distinctive camouflage pattern is recreated with paint, and the railgun used to launch the nuclear warhead is recreated in a large size of approximately 26cm in length!
The die-cast spikes can be moved independently, too, achieving both sculpted form and mobility. The head features an LED lighting gimmick. Multiple joints in the legs ensure a wide range of motion; paired with the original armor deployment gimmick, it can create a truly impressive display! The dedicated base allows for stable display of the REX in each of its form, and two types of support joints allow it to be displayed leaning forward.
The figure is approximately 18 cm in height.
